I'm shocked. Yesterday someone I consider a friend claimed that my AI artwork
shows paedophile tendencies. Wow! I don't know whether to argue with him or
just throw him off my friends list. He was referring to my posts that he's
seen in Mage Space's gallery, which is less explicit than what I post in this
blog.
First a matter of definition. For me, as someone who lives in Germany,
"underage" means under 16. That's the legal definition in Germany and every
other European country. Nevertheless, out of courtesy to Mage Space, an
American company, I keep to the American definition of the word.
I draw lots of pictures of women. Some of the pictures have bare breasts, but
the pictures are never fully nude. That's because I don't find full frontal
nudity tasteful. The topless women that I draw are usually 25 to 35.
Sometimes I draw younger girls, like the two girls in the picture above.
Anyone who thinks that such pictures are "paedophile" has something wrong with
him. There's nothing at all sexual about the picture, or any other pictures I
draw of young teenagers. They're two pretty girls. It's possible for any
normal person to find them attractive without feeling any lust.
Sometimes the young girls are wearing short skirts or shorts, like the girl on
the right in the picture. If you find something wrong with that, you're the
one who has a problem, not me. As a rule of thumb, anything is acceptable in
my artwork that I can see on the street.
Occasionally I draw pictures of 16-year-old girls wearing T-shirts with
provocative slogans, such as "I make boys cry" or "Give me your money". Do you
find that offensive? I don't.
